That means communication is everything.

You’ll need to share information, solve puzzles together and somehow keep your friends organized before the timer reaches zero. Naturally, that’s probably easier said than done.

Developed by ProbablyMonsters, Crimson Moon puts you in the role of a Nephilim—a human-angel hybrid created to protect humanity from supernatural forces. The fallen city of Gildenarch has been overrun by demons, undead creatures, vampires and other horrors. 

Players can take them on alone or team up with another player in co-op, combining weapons with supernatural abilities and angelic transformations while facing increasingly dangerous enemies and bosses. 

Crimson Moon launched on September 1, 2026.

5. TYR

If tactical vehicle combat is more your style, TYR is one of this week’s new releases worth checking out — and you can jump in for free.

Released into Steam Early Access on September 2, 2026, TYR is a free-to-play multiplayer tank shooter where positioning, strategy and teamwork matter more than simply having the fastest reflexes. 

Players control a variety of specialised armoured vehicles, including traditional treaded tanks and futuristic hover tanks. Each vehicle comes with its own abilities, armour characteristics and upgrade options, allowing you to adapt your tank to your preferred playstyle. 

One of TYR’s more interesting mechanics is its asymmetric vision system. Enemies are only visible when they’re within range or making enough noise, meaning knowing when to attack—and when to stay hidden—can completely change a battle. 

The Early Access version currently includes more than 12 unlockable tanks and five maps, with Stoke Games planning to add more tanks, maps and gameplay systems as development continues. 

Why you should check it out: If you enjoy tactical multiplayer games and tank combat but want something where careful positioning and teamwork are rewarded over run-and-gun gameplay, TYR is definitely worth trying. And since it’s free-to-play, there’s no reason not to give it a shot.
